Now, with iTunes!

A couple of updates since last time.
  • Switched from the Apache Xerces library to hypirinha for building HTML in Java. Though the casual visitor shouldn't notice any differences, hypirinha is much easier to develop with.
  • Added the plumbing for links to the iTunes store. Another new feature is links to individual tracks as well as releases. Consequently, it's now easier to locate and listen to tracks on releases that don't have an "official" digital release -- like the first Deltraxx 12". (Only Deltraxx and True Colours have iTunes data right now, however.) The links are really ugly, but we'll prettify them later.
We're going to keep working on Phase I before we start adding more releases. As always, comments, suggestions, corrections, and requests are welcome.

  3. Is this site dead? That's unfortunate, as it's probably the most informative FAX-related website on the entire internet. I mean, April, 2009? It's been 3 years. What are they up to? I find the idea that they've been "working on" a renewed site rather incredulous. I think they've thrown in the towel. I wish they'd informed us, though.
Still, if anyone ever reads this, thank you for your efforts in creating 2350.org. It is the most comprehensive FAX site around and it aided me in my incipient FAX acquisitions, which were, if I recall correctly, Ambiant Otaku, The Fires of Ork II, Outland 3, 4 and 5 , Organic Cloud, Electro Harmonix, Dreamfish, Daniel Pemberton's "Bedroom" and a couple of DSotM's.
It was good while it lasted!

*Do* let me know if things change, however. joachim.van.wuste@gmail.com

    Peace and love to all.
